BASADI (Sotho Word for Women) has taken the Music industry by storm and proven playing instruments is not exclusively a male dominated activity .The band has done no less than making solid inrows in the South African Music scene. Ever since their inception fourteen years ago, Basadi’s exhilarating live performances have earned them respect from the fraternity for their world performances, making a strong statement as young Female band in SA.

Basadi has shared the stage with South African Music giants both locally and Internationally. This includes performing with the Denmark 72 piece Orchestra, Hugh Masekela, the late Mama Miriam Makeba, Brenda Fassie, Caiphus Semenya and Many others.

Basadi Music style is diverse, rich and varied. Taking listeners through South African Favourites such as Phata Phata, Aluta Continua and to classic Jazz, blues, Rock and soul Rnb influences all bought together in Jazz the most sophisticated undying music that stood the test of time in this Era. The Band style of Music has said to inspire dignitaries this includes the Queen and King of Stockholm in Sweden, Political Leaders Kofi Anan, Former President Nelson Mandela, Former President Thabo Mbeki, and the President Jacob Zuma and other prominent great leaders and their Music got them to dance and stamp on their Feet.
